For those of you attended the inaugural gathering of the RTA West Coast on Sunday, September 10th at The 4100 Bar, a hearty thank-you. Hello, Carol here. LOVE the name of the blog - not only does it recognize Jameson Theater but is recognizes my favorite booze. And of course I am ticckled by the password. THanks for all of your hard work getting things going. It is so nice to have so many alumni connected and to have the generations of alumni meet each other. Love to all - I wish I could have been there for your gathering. In addition to Andrea's and Jim's network series, we have at 3 others in series including Calista Flockhart's Brothers and Sisters. Following is a report - written in bureaucratese - my apology for that - listing recent credits:
Letitia Lange (MFA 2006) has been cast to understudy the young nun, Sister James, in the National Tour of Doubt.
Tawny Cypress (BFA) will costar in the new NBC series Heroes on Mondays at 9 pm.
Aaron Stanford (BFA) stars as Will Traveler in the new ABC series Traveler.
Bill Bowers (MFA) Rattlestick Playwrights Theater presents Bill Bowers’ one-man show It Goes Without Saying to open its 12th Off Broadway season. This solo piece by actor and mime Bill Bowers takes the audience on a scenic tour of Bill's life thus far; from his childhood in the wilds of Montana, to his outrageous jobs as a performer, to the whirlwind of working on Broadway, and studying with Marcel Marceau. The production runs through October 8 and received a standout review in the September 9the issue of the New York Times.
Zenzele Cooper (BFA) will perform the role of Adriana in The American Globe Theater’s production of The Comedie Of Errours directed by Kelley McKinnon. The production will run in New York City from September 15 to October 7, 2006.
Michael Esper (BFA) will appear as the rock star in a updated version of Eric Bergosian’s SubUrbia, off Broadway at Second Stage in New York running from September 6 to October 29.
Sebastian Stan (BFA) stars in the remake of The Covenant as Chase Collins. The film opened in mid September.
Tim DeKay guest starred with Vincent Spano in the September 12, 2006 FOX series premiere of Standoff as an air traffic controller in crisis.
James Tupper (MFA) costars in the new NBC series Men In Trees as Jack. The pilot aired on September 12, 2006 and will hereafter air on Friday nights. The series stars Anne Heche.
David Miller (MFA) directed a production of Below The Belt by Rick Dresser, which was named Outstanding Production in the Fort Worth area. The play was produced by produced by Amphibian Productions, a company formed primarily of Rutgers Theater Alumni. The cast featured MFA alumni Jonathan Fielding and Evan Mueller. David Miller is the recently appointed Program Manager of the Education Department for Broadway’s Roundabout Theater in NYC
JV Mercanti (MFA directed Icarus for Amphibion Productions in Fort Worth this summer with MFA alumni Charlie Sandlan, Steven Balantzian, Katya Campbell and Carmen Lacivita in the cast.
